Summer To-Do List

With graduation pictures flooding my Facebook feed, temperatures reaching up to 115 degrees and vacation on my mind, I’d say summer is officially here. Although Rob and I don’t have any trips in the books yet, I hope we can at least take a couple weekend trips to LA or San Diego—this desert dweller needs to see some water! While we are sticking around home for most of the summer, these are some things I hope to do before fall rolls around.

  1. Have a sunset picnic at a park
  2. Visit Seven Magic Mountains
  3. Try some summer canning recipes from this book that my friend gave me
  4. Perfect an at-home acai bowl
  5. Watch a movie from the Cosmo’s pool during their “Dive in Movies” series
  6. See a Mandalay Bay beach concert (I’m thinking Chase Rice!)
  7. Take a road trip to San Diego
  8. Spend an evening at the new Topgolf with some friends
  9. Have a backyard bonfire and make several variations of s’mores
  10. Plan our trip to Nashville (any suggestions are much appreciated!)

P.S. You can see last summer’s to-do list here for some more ideas!

  • Love this list!! All your ideas that you have planned sound amazing but the sunset picnic sounds the most special!! I have a series on my blog called Monthly Musts and its helped me put my month into perspective every time!

    • That’s a great idea! It’s so easy to get bogged down with boring to-do list items like groceries, etc. so it’s nice to have some fun things on the horizon too :)

Great look! You should post it on or

  • Sounds like you’re going to have a fun summer, Jamie! A weekend road trip to San Diego would be ideal. I so wish I lived closer to CA!

    • Hopefully I’ll make time for it all! California is definitely fun to visit, at least you’re somewhat close to the East Coast beaches :)
