If you’re driving between Las Vegas and Los Angeles you may see some colorful boulders that stick out like a sore thumb against the brown desert. That my friends, is a new art installation called Seven Magic Mountains, which will be there for two years (this timeline on how it was built is really interesting!). I’ve been wanting to see Seven Magic Mountains in person ever since it went up in May, so my husband and I stopped there on our road trip to LA last weekend. It’s hard to get a feel for how big they are from photos, but when you are standing below them you see that they are quite massive! The bright colors are really fun, especially against the desert background.
The drive from Las Vegas to Los Angeles is about 4 hours, which isn’t terrible but I still wanted to be casual and comfortable for the car ride. Since we’ve been having a heatwave I opted for denim shorts and a light tank (I got this one on sale for only $7 at Target!). One of my road trip must-haves is a comfy, yet cute bralette. I mean it’s hard to take a nap when you’re wearing something confining and I’m notorious for being a sleeping sidekick on our road trips (Rob has multiple photos to prove it). I stocked up on a few bralettes at the most recent Victoria’s Secret sale and love how just a little bit of lace peeks out from under this tank. They are so light and breathable, which is perfect in this excessive heat. I’ll be sharing more photos from our road trip next week, so make sure to check back! Hope you all are staying cool!
