Before we left for Nashville I was a little disappointed to see that the forecast called for temperatures in the 80s while we were there. We get enough hot weather here in Vegas and I wanted to pack some of my new fall clothes! One fall-ish item that I did bring was this poncho since it’s a light layering piece. It caught my eye because of the earth-toned stripes and short sleeves. Some ponchos can be too overpowering, so I like that this one has less fabric and is easy to balance out with skinny jeans. They way it doesn’t look like you’re wearing a muumuu—although that’s what my husband calls it (ugh boys just don’t know fashion). I finally got to wear it on our last day when it was cooling down and pretty breezy. It was perfect for walking around downtown and seeing the sites (these pics were taken outside of the Ryman Auditorium). I kept the rest of the outfit pretty minimal, but topped it off with a bandana neck scarf. I really like this trend because scarves add so much to an outfit, but it’s usually to warm in Vegas to pull off a blanket or infinity scarf. The bandana or silk scarves are the perfect amount of fabric. I just need to practice tying them!
