Our excessive heat here in Las Vegas really has me wishing we were back in Connecticut! If you missed this post, we were there for a wedding in May and it was beautiful! I could really go for a coastal breeze right about now. This was one of the outfits I wore on our trip and I don’t want to toot my own horn, but *toot toot* because my packing was on point for that trip! I wore everything that I brought and never had that “Shoot, I should have packed ___!” feeling. It can be tricky to pack for a destination that you’ve never been to before. I assumed it would be somewhat cool being next to the water, but we were also expecting some warm, humid days. My suggestion is to bring a little bit of everything, but make sure all of the pieces are cohesive. That way it’s easy to create several outfits by mixing and matching. I brought a pair of white jeans, denim shorts and a sundress (plus a couple fancy dresses since it was for a wedding, but that’s not typical for my packing strategy). I also brought a couple sleeveless tops, T-shirts and light layering pieces that were all very versatile. The blush top I have on in this post could be dressed up with white jeans and heeled sandals or worn more casually with distressed denim shorts. Shoes are another challenging thing to pack since they take up a lot of room. I always bring a pair of tennis shoes for sightseeing and a cute, but comfy pair of sandals when we travel in the summer. To save space in my carryon I usually wear my sneakers and the bulkiest sweater or jacket on the plane. We’ve been traveling a lot this spring and summer, so I finally have my packing strategy down pat! Hope you found these packing tips to be helpful :)
