How To Style Gingham For Fall

Happy Monday, hope you all had a great weekend! We enjoyed a low-key couple of days at home and I tried to make it feel as fall-ish as possible. On Friday we watched the University of Washington (my alma mater) vs. Stanford, which was fun since our team is finally playing well (we won ZERO games my freshman year, so it’s pretty cool that we are ranked #5 now!). Then on Saturday night we went to the Taste at Red Rock event where we enjoyed great food and drinks poolside. To top it all off I went to Gilcrease Orchard yesterday for their famous apple cider and doughnuts! Then I baked pumpkin bread, although that was a fail since I underbaked it and the center caved in. Ugh. Not everything I bake turns out as picture-perfect as it appears on the blog. Oh well, the cooked part still tasted good :) Now on to today’s outfit! I wore this layered look while we were in Wyoming a couple weeks ago. This jacket has been a staple in my fall wardrobe and I think the gingham shirt underneath creates a classic, casual look. You can also see how I styled it with a utility-style vest in this post. It’s definitely a versatile piece!
