Fall Beauty Finds

fall-beauty-products

My beauty routine stays pretty consistent throughout the year, but I like to update my look by mixing in some seasonal products. Fall is all about darker shades and berry hues. These bolder colors can be a little intimidating, but there are also more subtle ways to work them into your makeup collection. Below are a few products that I’ve been loving so far this season and add the perfect amount of fall flair.

purple-eyeliner

As I’ve said before, burgundy and other rich shades of red and purple are the ultimate fall colors. This Sephora eyeliner in Mystic Purple caught my eye while I was looking for my go-to grey shade. I’ve read that this color can accentuate blue eyes, so I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did! It’s subtle, but still shakes up my usual look. I’ll be honest, it doesn’t go on as smoothly as the Urban Decay eyeliner that I swear by, but once it’s on it looks great and really brightens my eyes!

thickening-mouse

I have really thin hair, so I’m always looking for thickening products that actually make a difference. Whether I air dry my hair and wear it curly or blow dry it and use a curling iron, this Living Proof thickening mousse adds nice body to my hair. And trust me, I need all of the help I can get!

fall-lipstick

I’ve recently become obsessed with lipsticks. With an easy swipe, they instantly update your look. I’m still experimenting with what colors look best on me, so I was excited to find this collection of bareMinerals lipstick called Love At First Kiss. This was the perfect selection of colors for a lipstick newbie like myself. I love the darker shades that are popular this season, but I think I’ll start with some neutral pinks and work my way up.

What are your favorite fall beauty trends? I would love to hear about your favorite products, too!

  • I’m loving darker lipstick shades for fall. Charlotte from NARS is a deep plum that I can’t get enough of. That mousse sounds great. I’m going to try it during the winter months when my hair tends to feel thinner from all of the flat ironing I do.

  • About the thickening cream, I see that and want to buy it, but don’t know if I can justify the price compared to other options in the aisle. What do you think?

    • I was a little hesitant because of that at first, but I haven’t had great luck with drugstore products so I decided to take the plunge. So far it’s been my favorite thickening product. I don’t use it every day, just a few times a week when I wash my hair, so hopefully it lasts for a decent amount of time. If you find a cheaper product that works well tho, let me know haha :)
