Las Vegas Booze District

For Rob’s birthday, I took him to the Booze District in Henderson, Las Vegas (cue “Day Drinking” by Little Big Town). He loves learning about craft beers and obviously drinking them, too, so it was a perfect present. The district consists of two breweries with one more on the way, a distillery and a winery. We shared a couple of flights so that we could get a good sense of all that they had to offer. You can also purchase tours and a passport so that you get a detailed experience at each venue.

First up was Bad Beat Brewing. This bar had a really fun atmosphere, complete with darts, video games, a TV playing March madness and shuffleboard. Plus, the modern, rustic décor was right up my alley! The bartender was really friendly and talked with us about the process of making the beers. We both loved Ace In The Hole (a Pale Ale with basil) and my other favorite was The Heater, which is an Imperial Milk Stout that has a little kick from the added Serrano peppers.

CraftHaus Brewery was our next stop. The first thing that this brewery had going for it was the food truck outside! I also loved the décor. They had a high-top table made from palettes and adorned with potted succulents. I would recommend the grapefruit IPA or the stout here. The flight was served in a wire basket, which I thought was a cute idea.

The winery, Grape Expectations, was closed when we went and we didn’t have time for the tour at the Las Vegas Distillery, so we will have to come back for those. Some other fun breweries that we love in Vegas are Banger Brewing and Tenaya Creek Brewery. Any other suggestions? Let me know :)

  • What a fun birthday adventure! The heater sounds interesting, I’ll need to try it if I ever go there.

    • You definitely shoulder! It’s such a unique beer, especially if you like stouts. Have a great weekend :)
